The first Arrow & Beast trip to Lisbon took place in 2013. Friends of ours had opened up a hostel in Cascais and invited us as their first guests for a proper inauguration party. Benny Fairfax and our ninja Rodrigo Teixeira joined us and we left Portugal with lots of good memories.
Five years later our friends with the hostel, Rita & Jon, invited us to come back for their hostel closing party because the landlord had decided to sell the house. We just felt like we had to come back to Lisbon and decided to turn it into a little skate vacation with everyone covering their own expenses. Thanks to various personal travel budgets, most of the guys managed to get their costs covered through sponsors.
Since we made it a vacation, there was no pressure to get the clips and pics. Some of the guys went for early sunrise surf sessions at 7am every day. Rita & Jon organized a surf lesson for everyone and an epic sunset boat ride, which was THE highlight of the trip.
As this was the first official Arrow & Beast trip for our new guy… welcome to the team Nitsche! We are super stoked for Denis to be part of the crew! Mad switch skills and great positive vibes every single day!
