Welcome to HUF Germany’s B.R.Y.C.

This is exactly where we spent our weekend in Brussels. Sounds super luxurious, right? Not really, because the houseboat we stayed on was over a hundred years old and you could tell that by its smell, look & feel.

But no complaints here, it was an awesome experience. A bit like camping, but on the water. A toilet you had to flush by hand with a manual pump, a not to steady working electricity system and very basic household equipment brought us back to simpler times. Despite it being pretty cold outside Alex and Marcel made it their morning ritual to go for a swim. The filthy water didn’t take away from their vacation vibe.

Of course, we also went skating. And let me tell you, Brussels got spots! No way we could cover all of them this weekend, so there might be a second visit for us coming up. Shout out to Arne for showing us around.
