Palace have collaborated with Vans Skateboarding on a brand new style – the Palace Vans Low – a hybrid of the much-loved Steve Caballero ‘Half Cab’ and the much-missed Mike Carroll signature style.
Available in black or white in a perforated leather and suede mix, the shoe features Palace Vans Low branding and the following technical features:
• Made with sturdy suede and canvas and featuring locked-in tongue straps and two-part foxing for heightened board contact.
• SICKSTICK™ gum rubber compound has been elevated to the next level of grip and durability.
• POPCUSH™ insoles snap back and won’t pack, providing impact protection and custom energy return for any type of skating.
• Reinforced DURACAP™ underlays and are built to withstand the daily abuse of skateboarding.
Completing the offering alongside the shoes are two T-shirts, featuring a ‘Palace Vans Low’ graphic on the front.
To mark the launch with a lol, Palace and Vans Skateboarding have created an ostensibly ‘Internal Only’ film, made “for Vans employee’s eyes only.” Written and directed by Palace’s Stuart Hammond PWBC and starring Palace and Vans pro skateboarders Rory Milanes and Danny Brady, the film talks Vans staff worldwide (Brady: “That’s over a hundred people”) through the attributes of the new shoe.
